How to Care for Your Vehicle Wrap

Although our vehicle wraps are high quality, it is important to follow these steps in order to ensure your wrap lasts as long as possible. To maintain well kept vehicles wraps/graphics, it is very important to regularly hand-wash your vehicle or use a touch-less car wash whenever your vehicle appears dirty. 

Hand-Wash:

• Spray water at a 90º angle 
• Soak difficult contaminants such as bird droppings, bug splatter and tree sap with hot soapy water.
• Use a wet non-abrasive detergent along with a microfiber cloth.
• Always rinse well with clean water
• To minimize spotting, immediately after rinsing, use a squeegee to remove excess water.
• Always finish up with a microfiber cloth to prevent scratches.

If Fuel is Spilled on Your Graphics:

• Immediately rinse with warm water and wipe off to prevent deterioration.

Avoid Touch Car Washes:

• To prevent damage, always use touch-less car washes.
  • Car washes that use brushes may cause damages to the graphics including dulling, scratching or lifting of the edges.

Pressure Washing:

• Hand washing is the preferred and ideal method
• You may use pressure washing as follows:
  • Keep water pressure below 2,000 PSI (14MPa)
  • Water temperature below 180º Fahrenheit
  • The spray nozzle should have a 40º wide angle spray pattern
  • Keep the nozzle 1 foot away and at a 90º angle to the graphic
•  Caution: Holding the nozzle of the pressure washer at an angle may lift the edges of the decal / wrap.
